little brother's getback will drop on 9/25.

1. "sirens" f/ carlitta durand
2. "can't win for losing"
3. "breakin' my heart" f/ lil wayne
4. "good clothes"
5. "after the party" f/ carlitta durand
6. "extrahard"
7. "step it up" f/ dion
8. "two step blues" f/ darien brockington
9. "that ain't love" f/ jozeemo
10. "dreams"
11. "when everything is new"

not much to speculate on from the tracklist other than the lil wayne spot, but phonte did mention that there are going to be eight producers. it's going to be interesting to see how it all flows together.

"i'm the boss" | havoc
"so amazing" | termanology

apparently, havoc has a solo lp entitled the kush coming out some time soon. i didn't even know. with prodigy busy getting sonned and then regaining his composure on return of the mac, havoc was pushed to the side, but he must have been spending the off season in the lab because "i'm the boss" is a hauntingly (and deceptively) beautiful piece of work. underlying havoc's orchestral like keys and strings is one of my all-time favorite samples which you'll also recognize from atcq's "luck of lucien". at this point, it doesn't even matter what havoc is saying because this is simply... a well crafted joint.

speaking of another legendary producer, dj premier continues to push out joints for lesser known mc's like termanology. of all the mc's premier is working with currently, termanology is the most polished and engaging. continuously on the grind, term is the prototypical new york (mixtape) rapper. he has the flow, the braggadocio, the street sensible lyricism, premier on the boards. the only thing is... he's from boston. back to the music, this is typical premier fare and term brings what you expect, nothing more or less... listen to "i'm the boss". that's my shit right now.
